Research in the department of Applied Physiology at Georgia Tech is organized around the physiology of movement: motor planning and control, the mechanics of movement, and physiological responses to activity. Students focus on traditional physiological specialties while simultaneously integrating fundamental concepts from mutually-related fields. Working closely with a research adviser, students will identify a research question, develop a methodological procedure, and carry out intensive research experiments to examine varying aspects of physiological function and control.
