About Me

I earned my Ph.D. in Applied Physiology with a minor in Neuroscience at the Georgia Institute of Technology. My research was conducted under the School of Biological Sciences in the Cognitive Motor Control Laboratory (thecmclab.com), supervised by Dr. Lewis Wheaton.

I earned my Master's degree in Neuroimaging and Informatics at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. A Georgia native, I attended Georgia Tech for my undergraduate studies, where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology, a certificate in Biomedical Sciences, and a minor in French.
Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Physiology

Georgia Tech's approach to Applied Physiology spans many levels of biological organization, from cellular to biological systems. Specific emphases is placed on the mechanisms of motor control by the central nervous and musculoskeletal systems.

Bachelor of Science in Biology

The Georgia Tech School of Biology emphasizes integrative and systems biology, aimed at augmenting critical thinking skills, learning the fundamentals of biological sciences, the mechanisms and consequences of evolution (from genes to populations), cellular organization and cell function within the context of complex system, interactions of organisms with each other and the environment, and preparing students for careers as scientists, physicians, and leaders in government and industry.

Master of Science in Neuroimaging and Informatics (NIIN)

NIIN focused on the neuroimaging and informatics associated with brain imaging. It provided an in-depth examination of clinical aspects of neuroimaging, as well as how this knowledge can be applied to translational research and biomedicine. Didactic lectures focused on the technology behind neuroimaging techniques, brain anatomy, and computational analytical approaches. Laboratory modules provided hands-on experience with neuroimaging data collection modalities, and the examination of data processing strategies.

Minor in French

École Polytechnique is a leading French institute which combines top-level research, academics, and innovation at the cutting-edge of science and technology. Its curriculum promotes a culture of excellence with a strong emphasis on science. I completed 36 credits of upper level Biology courses abroad, and increased my French language proficiency and knowledge of French technical vocabulary. The food wasn't too bad either. In addition to completing my minor in French, I spent a year studying and working abroad at Ecole Polytechnique in Palaiseau, France.
